Kathleen M. Mayo, 82, of Syracuse, died on Sunday at Francis House. She had recently worked for Home Interiors & Gifts, and formerly was employed by GE (Heavy Military) and Chappell's Department Store. She was active in the Home Bureau and volunteered at many organizations including the Outreach Program at Blessed Sacrament. She has been a communicant of Blessed Sacrament since 1963. She is pre-deceased by her husband Norman, her parents John and Kathleen Moran; her brothers Jack and Richard Moran; and sisters: Genevieve Borak, Phyllis Bouck and Jacqueline Moran. Mrs. Mayo is survived by 5 sons: Timothy (Lise) of Syracuse, Michael of Puerto Vallarta , Mexico, Thomas (Nimfa) of Norfolk, VA, Jay of Virginia Beach, VA, Daniel (Nanci) of Virginia Beach, VA; a daughter Kathleen Godlewski of Syracuse; and grandchildren: Heather, Jenna and Michelle Godlewski, Jeffrey Mayo, Britni Birt and Zakari Mayo; great grandson Hudson Mayo; a brother William Moran of Montana; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3rd at 10AM at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 10:30 in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2-5PM at the funeral home, 3111 James Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blessed Sacrament Outreach Program or Hospice of CNY.
