Janis L. Spagnolo, 65, of Minoa, died on Thursday at Crouse Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Janis was an avid SU sports fan. She and her husband enjoyed many vacations in the Thousand Islands with their family and winters in South Florida together. The family wishes to thank the staff on 4 South at Crouse Hospital for their care and support. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard J. Spagnolo; her children: Sandra (Brian) Kisker of Buffalo, Richard J. (Holly) Spagnolo Jr. of Bealeton, VA, Steven (Rebecca) Spagnolo of Buffalo; 3 sisters: Charlene French, Kay Fitzgerald, Claire Hogan; brothers-in-law: Carl and Joe Spagnolo; grandchildren: Hannah, Jonathan, Sarah, Carlee, Daniel, Grace, Emma; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held on Monday at 9:30am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Minoa with interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street. Memorial contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse 13208.
