John William "Jack" Corcoran Sr., 68, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. John was dearly loved by his family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents: Otto and Mary; his brothers: Mark and David.
He is survived by his loving wife Janice (nee Kaleta); sons: John Jr. (Ellen), Jason; daughters: Jack-Lynn, Janelle (Jesus); 4 grandchildren whom he adored: Garrett, Seth, Colby, Sophia; his sister: Barbara Jeffalone; his brother Thomas; his aunt Teddy Bjorkmans; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
John loved his garden and spent many hours working in it. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. This past year, he was able to spend a wonderful vacation with his family at Disney then enjoying all of the amenities of the cruise; where he watched his grandchildren in the pool. He was also able to enjoy the yearly trip with his family to a camp on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.
A memorial mass will be held on Monday at 10am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street.
