Walter William Byam, 94 of Eastwood passed away Sunday in New Jersey at his daughter's home after a short illness. Walter served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, then worked for BF Goodrich for 43 years until he retired. He was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Walter enjoyed bowling and golf which he participated until he was 91 and was a member of Brooklawn Golf Course. He was predeceased by his wife Adah Byam in 2008. Survived by: daughter Linda (Ron) Zeitz of New Jersey; son: Craig "Wally" (Mary Ann Vaccaro) Byam; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons; sister Dorothy Peet of Unadilla, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 29 at 3:30pm in Eastwood Baptist Church, 3212 James Street. Burial will be private in Onondaga County Veteran Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday from 1-3pm at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street.
