Lillian Grace Raschella, 81, died on Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospital in Utica. Lillian was born in Syracuse on August 10, 1932, the daughter of the late Carmine and Antoinette Colasanti. She had formerly worked at Hiscock & Barcley and Fallon & Fallon as a book keeper. Mrs. Rascella was a communicant of St. Vincent dePaul Church, an avid reader and a Red Sox and SU Sports fan. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 56 years, Dominic; her brothers: Mick, Arthur, Alfred Colasanti; and her sisters: Mary Filtch, Helen Schwarz and Anne Oswald.
She is survived by her sons: Daniel (Connie) Raschella and Steven Raschella; grandchildren: Caroline (Shaun) Browne, James Raschella; a great-grandson Sawyer Browne; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are to be held, Saturday, July 19 at 9am in Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and 9:30am in St. Vincent dePaul Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 3111 James Street. In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to Upstate Stroke Center, 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse 13210.
