Obituary of Irene West

Irene West life long resident of Syracuse, grew up in Skunk City, passed away July 5, 2013. Daughter of Lenn and Lucy Bishop. Wife of 48 years to Robert A. West, deceased. Graduate of Vocational High School and C.C.B.I. Worked as an Executive Secretary at G.E. Electronics Parkway. A communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, member and former officer of the Altar and Rosary Society. Volunteered for several decades in many church related activities, including dancing in the "Just Memories Show". Most recently volunteered in the Blessed Sacrament Outreach program, selected Volunteer of the Year in 2009.
Survivors include sons Robert A. West II of East Syracuse, James T. West (Judy) of Naples, FL and daughter Elizabeth L. Fini (Robert) of Manassas, VA, eight Grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A Mass will be celebrated Thursday July 10 at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Donations may be made to Blessed Sacrament Outreach, 3127 James St. Syracuse, NY 13206.
