Marion E. Bond, born May 20, 1916 in Watertown, NY, passed away May 4, 2014 at the age of 97, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY.
Marion is survived by her son, Leo (Yvonne) Bond, Norfolk, NY; daughter, Inez Shorette, Raymondville, NY; daughter, Janet (Rick) Jesmer, Dryden, NY; and her sister, Loretta Heazleton, Bradenton; FL. She is survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, a nephew and several nieces.
Marion was predeceased by her husband, Hubert in 1965 and her brother, Leo Hentz, in 2011, Watertown NY.
Marion was an active member for over 50 years at the Church of the Visitation, Norfolk, NY and belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society. She loved knitting and crocheting beautiful items, which she mostly donated the proceeds back to her church. She was also a member of the Jolly Agers Senior Citizen club.
There will be no calling hours for Marion but a Celebration of Life is planned for June 7, 2014 at the Church of the Visitation at 10:30am. Her mass will be con-celebrated by Mons. John R. Murphy and Rev. Andrew J. Amyot. Marion loved people so much she donated her body to science.
The family requests that contributions may be made in her name to the Altar and Rosary Society of the Church of the Visitation, 3 Morris Street, Norfolk, NY 13667.
