Obituary of Don Crawford Minnoe

Don C. Minnoe, 77, of Syracuse, died on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He had attended Alfred University and was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Minnoe retired in 1989 from Carrier. After his retirement, he enjoyed studying history, art, especially works by Van Gogh and photographing wild flowers. He was also a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and was active with many school activities. He was pre-deceased by his parents John and Mildred Minnoe; his brother Niles P. Minnoe and son-in-law David Royal. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Monica; his 6 children: Carmel (Sami) Maalouf, Mara (Robert) Nickels, Michael (Jeanmaire), Therese Royal, Betsy (Susan) Minnoe, Patrick (Laura); his brother David (Patti); a sister-in-law: Patricia Y. Minnoe; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10am in the Blessed Sacrament Church with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 3-6pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street.
