John M. "Jack" Roubie, 74, of East Syracuse, died on Friday. Jack was born in Watertown to Webert E. and Mabel E. Roubie on April 25, 1938. He went to high school in Watertown and was a 1959 graduate of the SUNY College of Forestry (now ESF). Jack served in the US Air Force as a navigation & electronics warfare officer. He joined Bristol Myers Squibb in 1964 as a research scientist in the process development department. He retired in 1993. Jack was a member of local radio clubs RAGS & LARC and held amateur radio license K2JDD since 1955. He was also a member of the Antique Wireless Association in Bloomfield, NY and volunteered there for 10 years. Jack was treasurer for many years for the Quarter Century Wireless Association Jack is survived by his sisters: Jean Burke of Syracuse and Catherine (Ronald) Grell of Middleport, NY. In accordance with Jack's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. He will be buried in the Onondaga County Veteran's Cemetery.
