Margaret T. Swanson, 91, of East Syracuse, died on Tuesday at St. Luke's in Oswego. Mrs. Swanson was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and a former member of Arrowhead Country Club. Mrs. Swanson had formerly worked at GE and Sears.
Her husband Glen died on March 6, 2009.
She is survived by her daughter Susan E. (Frank Jr.) Wilson of North Syracuse; sons: James C. (Maureen) of Allentown, PA, Thomas J. (Linda) of East Syracuse; a sister Caroline Furman Merrimem of Grand Rapids, MI; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30am at the Welter Price Funeral Home and at 10am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum. Calling hours will be Saturday from 8-9:30am at the funeral home, 3111 James Street. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Luke's Nursing Home, 299 East River Road, Oswego, NY 13126.
