Katherine Gertrude Sticht Coye, 94 of Eastwood, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was the daughter of Albert C. & Gertrude E. Devine Sticht. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of the Golden Agers. Gertrude graduated from Eastwood High School in 1937. She attended Syracuse Secretarial School and was employed by the U.S. Government for several years. Her greatest joy was family togetherness and her friends. Gertrude was predeceased by her husband Gordon Coye in 1996 and granddaughter, Hannah Coye in 2005.
Surviving are her daughters: Kathleen Coye of Camillus, Karen (Tom) Lee of Camillus, sons: Robert (Deborah) Coye of N. Syracuse, Edward (Nancy) Coye of Syracuse, and grandchildren: Sarah, Matthew, Joshua, Andrew, Eric, Daniel Coye and Samantha and Davis Lee.
Funeral Services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church on Friday at 10:30am with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Minoa. Calling hours will be held at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home Inc. on Thursday from 4-7pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament School in Syracuse, the Francis House or the Make A Wish Foundation.
