I was in a recover group with Jim Taylor at St. Mary's in 1991. I had not spoken with him for a number of years, but this year marking 25 years of sobriety for me I thought to get in touch. I am saddened to find that he had passed. I realize that my note discloses some private information regarding Jim, but I am so very thankful that Jim was there with me because his encouragement and friendship was instrumental in my early sobriety and means to world to me. He truly touched my life! For graduation he wrote a heartfelt poem to me that I framed and placed on the wall, it has served as an important inspiration all of these years. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Father Taylor was my priest for many years at Trinity Church, Bloomington...saw me through many crises and joys...attended my mother's funeral and blessed the family. Knowing him and being his friend was one of the best periods of my life. May the Lord grant him Life Eternal and resurrection through Christ our Saviour. Amen. May he rest in peace.

Jim was a friend and teacher when I was a student in Bloomington. I enjoyed his laugh, his sense of drama and his stories. I'm sorry I lost touch with him in person, but his spirit has always been with me.

Dear Jim. Today is Sunday Feb. 23rd. I read that you had passed in the obits Sun., 2/9. I called Stan to let him know you are now with the otherworldly angels. I miss you and regret that I did not take you up on "lunch" a few years ago. Jim, you were a friend and spiritual advisor to me. I look forward to attending what I believe will be a memorial beyond comprehension. Be at Peace my brother. I hold you closer and dearer in my heart now more than ever. Love, Deb
