Janis Robert, 78, of Madison died at University Hospital on 11/28/10 after a short illness. Mrs. Robert was born March 1, 1932, in Fairfield, VT, daughter to the late Merle and Charlotte Martin Lafley. She attended United Methodist Church in Peterboro. She retired from NYS Division of Mental Health. Mrs. Robert enjoyed cooking, gardening, and quilting. She was an avid NY Yankees fan.
She was preceded in death by husband Patrick Robert and daugher Patricia.
Survivors include a sister, June Guilmette of Ilion and four children: Deborah Wilkin (Edward) of Murrells Inlet, SC; Pamela Babcock (Bradley) of Morrisville; Mark Robert and Stephen Robert, both of Richford, VT; grandchildren: Stacia Wilkin-Valdes (Jose) of Orlando, FL; Braden Babcock and Tyler Babcock of Morrisville; Mark Edward Robert of Richford, VT; Andrea Robert of Manchester, NH, and Jamie Robert of Edgewater, FL; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her faithful companion Border Collie "Libby".
Funeral arrangements will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Wanderers Rest Humane Society of Madison County
