Obituary of Raymond D. Grilli

Raymond D. Grilli, 92, Syracuse, died at his home on Friday. He was a veteran of WWII and served at the D-Day invasion and received the Purple Heart. He had retired from the US Post Office and was a member of the Postal Retirees Association. Mr. Grilli had been an Altar Server and Eucharistic Minister at Holy Trinity and St. John the Baptist Churches. He was a member of the DAV, volunteered at the VA Hospital and was an avid Syracuse Chiefs fan. He is pre-deceased by his parents: Nicholas and Mary Grilli; sisters: Angela Grilli, Lola Luisi; brother Edmund Grilli; and nephew Michael Sellin. Mr. Grilli is survived by a sister: Rosemary (Len) Sellin of Liverpool; and several nieces and nephews. A private funeral service will be held at Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home with burial in Assumption Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church.
