Michael Leo Beller, 68, of Syracuse, died on Thursday at the Veterans Hospital. He had retired in 1990 from the US Air Force. He received numerous commendations, campaign citations and marksman awards. He had 5 career fields while in the Air Force. Mike enjoyed working on motor vehicles, remodeling houses, golfing and motor cycle riding. Being around people was one of his favorite things. He was pre-deceased by his parents: Leo and Anna Marie Beller.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years and soul mate for 36 years, Karen; his children Timothy Beller, Natalie Beller, and Joelle Beller all of Missouri; a brother Jim; his sisters: Bonnie, Sandra, Julie, Denise; 3 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his wife's loving and supporting family.
Calling hours are Monday from 4-6pm at the Welter-Price Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11AM in the chapel at the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans Association.
