Josephine C. Smith, 83, a life long resident of Syracuse, died at her home peacefully on Thursday. Her enjoyment in life was working with her Husband and family since 1976 at J C Smith Inc,. Mrs. Smith was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her brother Anthony Catalfino.
She is survived by her husband John C. Smith Jr.; her 3 sons: John Cayll Smith III of Sarasota, FL, Jeffrey C. (Mary) Smith of Syracuse, Jay C. (Laura) Smith of Syracuse; Joanne (Lance) Reed of Memphis, NY; a brother Vincent (Judy) Catalfino of Liverpool; sisters: Anne Harrison and Mary Fedele both of Syracuse; 2 sisters-in-law: Elaine Smith of Syracuse, Vivian McDonald of Clearwater, FL; 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews;
Funeral services will be Monday at 10am at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 10:30 in Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
