Alexander Colella, 60 of Syracuse passed away Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in March 19, 1953 the son of the late Alexander & June Carter Colella. Alex worked for the Syracuse DPW for more than 20 years and then worked for the Liverpool School District. He was a member of the son of the American Legion Pulaski Post and a member of the Valley Mens Club. Alex was an avid SU fan and enjoyed spending his summers at Brennan Beach RV Park. He was predecased by his parents and sister: Lucille Cassano. Survived by his longtime companion Alice Coleman; his daughter, Tia Colella; step-son: Joseph Coleman; step-daughter: Kimberly Coleman; brother: Michael Defuoco; sisters: Mary Jane Defuoco, Susan Benedetti and Terry (David) Brigandi and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4-6:30 pm at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street. A Memorial Service will follow calling hours at 6:30pm
