Brandy Janine Fanning-Cupplo Obituary

Brandy J. Fanning-Cupplo, 48, died on July 16, 2024, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester NY, surrounded by loved ones. Born on June 24, 1976, Brandy was a lifelong Syracuse resident who, despite her time being cut short, lived a full life dedicated to hard work and the precious family of five she made with her husband and long-term partner of 34 years, Joseph.

Brandy devoted countless hours to advancing her career in tech support and IT. Over her 25-year career, she worked for companies like AT&T and Verizon, paving her path through the tech industry with sheer determination, hard work, and a willingness to learn. In her professional endeavors, she touched the lives of many co-workers, many of whom became lifelong friends.

She loved outdoor activities like camping, hiking, fishing, stargazing, watching sunsets by the beach, and planning weekend getaways. At home, she was an avid cook, enjoyed playing board games and card games alike, and took immense pride in her love of holidays like Halloween. Most of all, Brandy loved doing these things with her family.

Brandy is survived by her husband, Joseph, their children, Joseph (Israella) Cupplo, Ryan Cupplo, and Dominick Cupplo, and her granddaughter, Adeline Cupplo. She is also survived by her sister, Nicole Bridges, her brothers, Nicholas (Tanya) Britton, Bruce (Shannon) Britton, and Juan (Corey) Burgos, and leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 10:30am in Blessed Sacrament Church.
