I met John in 1960. We worked together in the Tax Dept. starting in October 1962. We traveled and had many adventures & stories.
As Bob Hope said "Thanks for the Memories!"

John and Bob knew each other as kids then attended Business school together. They were in each others weddings. They played golf together. As a couple we enjoyed many fun times together with John and Marge and also his brother Ted. We have many wonderful memories. Unfortunately in the last several years due to illnesses and circumstances we lost contact. But we will always remember all the good times we had together.

John Koagel was an amazing person, friend, boss and mentor. His wife Marge was just as amazing!
We all loved John & Marge so very very much. It is very hard to believe and accept that they are both gone but they will never leave our thoughts and memories. My wife Donna and our three children, Robbie, Beth and Laura and their families are all devistated with John’s passing. We are all choked up and crying.
John loved people in general. John especially loved and cared about the people that worked for him!
He had an honest concern for everyone’s well-being.
Our best memories of both John and Marge are when we lived with them for a few years in their house in Albany. John and I both traveled a lot together for work almost every other week during the summer months and my wife Donna and my daughter Beth got to spend evenings during these weeks with Marge.
It was during these times that we all became such very close friends and we came to think of John and Marge as close family.
I could go on & on about all of the people John and Marge worked with and cared about but there are so many I’m afraid to mention any names because I don’t want to offend anyone by leaving their name out and the list would be a thousand pages long.
I’ll end just by saying that there is no doubt in our minds at all that John and Marge are sitting together again, Marge with a glass of wine and John with his favorite manhattan or martini!

I worked with John and Marge for many years when they were in the Albany area. He was always a nice man and always had a smile on his face. Rest in peace.
