Richard (Dick) Sweeney, formerly of Syracuse, passed away at the age of 90 on May 26, 2024 at Francis House with his family present. He was predeceased by his parents, sister and brother. Dick is survived by his wife, Judith (Judy Cahill) Sweeney; his children: Eileen Sweeney (Mary Buck), Richard “Rick” Sweeney (Peggy), Robert “Bob” Sweeney (Sue), Kathleen Sweeney, Thomas “Tom” Sweeney (Megan), 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Dick was born in Middletown, NY. He was a graduate of Bryant University. After serving in the Army, Dick was a self-employed salesman in the display industry for many years.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated June 27, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Baldwinsville, NY. A private interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
