On Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 Mary Marguerite Mitchell Sheridan, 88, died suddenly at Crouse Hospital surrounded by her family. Mary retired from the NYS Brain Injury Association Syracuse Chapter in 2016. She was predeceased by her parents, Helen Stack and Walter Mitchell; Aunts and Uncles Daniel, Margaret, Johnny, Catherine and Bernadine Stack; and her loving husband of 51 years William C Sheridan Jr. She is survived by her three children, Mary Jo (Brett) Wallace, Patricia Sheridan (Alan Bentinck-Smith) and Christopher Sheridan; grandchildren Christine Wallace (Hunter Ross), Kathryn Wallace, Alexandra (Sam) Feshbach, Brenna (Jesse) Miller; great-grandchildren Kamryn and Declan Ross; several nieces and nephews.
Mary was a pioneer in the establishment of the NYS Brain Injury Association in Syracuse with the initiation of key programs and services to this community. Mary was essential in the funding and establishment of the David Clark Learning Center for the brain injured.
Services will start at 10:00am at St. Vincent de Paul church on Thursday June 20th with a calling hour, immediately followed with a mass at 11:00am and a burial after the mass at Our Lady of Peace cemetery in Baldwinsville, NY.
