Obituary of Marie Scott

Marie Scott of Eastwood, died peacefully at home on May 14, one week shy of her 94th birthday. She was born to the late Rapheal and Elvira (Masi) Ariola.  She was a 1948 graduate (and cheerleader) of St. John's The Evangelist Catholic Academy.
She was married to Harry E. Scott Sr. for 56 years and whom, also, was her golfing partner/coach and co-worker at Scott Brothers' Florist until his passing in 2006.  Marie also enjoyed Golf and playing cards (Pitch/Pinnocle) with her friends and sister Alda in Florida.
She managed to wrangle 6 sons and was most dedicated in that endeavor.  Her piano playing, singing, and artistic flair and heavenly aromas from her kitchen, filled her home.  Her exuberance, and warmth and kindness to all, will be remembered.
In addition to her husband, Marie was pre-deceased by her brothers: Jim, Phillip, Tony, Dorn, and John Ariola; sisters: Mily (DeBaise), Edith (Marx), Esther (Ischel), and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Marie is survived by her 6 sons: Harry Jr., Jay  (Michelle), Brian , Kenneth  (Linda), Ralph , Christopher  (Tami); 3 grand children: Kenneth Jr. (Erica), Kara, and Brianna (Josh); 2 great-grandchildren: Isabella and Lucas. She is also survived by her loving sister Alda Caulfield; several nieces and nephews and her cat Fluffernutter.
Calling Hours will be Tuesday from 10:00 am to 12:00pm at the Welter-Price Funeral Home, Inc.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00.  Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
