Lawrence G. Hensinger Obituary

Lawrence George Hensinger (Larry) passed peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Syracuse, NY. Larry was born in Syracuse on October 4, 1943 and was predeceased by his parents George and Ethel Hensinger and his sisters Dorothy Taylor and Louise Roskopf. He is survived by his children Jennifer (Gary) Hull, Karen (Ishmel) Berkeley, John (Michele) Hensinger, Katie Canfield, his 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Larry was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a proud member of the US Navy. Larry retired from a long and rewarding career as a Purchasing Manager at Syracuse Plastics. He loved fishing and had a passion for reading mystery novels. Larry was a compassionate friend to everyone that he met. He listened without judgment and loved unconditionally. Larry was a loved and cherished member of his family and community and will be missed. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 12-2pm with a service at the conclusion.
