Dorothy H. Schafer born in Syracuse on November 14, 1928 and passed away on May 11, 2024 with her family by her side. She was a graduate of Assumption High School and a communicant of Assumption Church, member of the Golden Agers and very active in the parish activities.  
Dorothy enjoyed shopping and most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Leonard, daughter Jacqueline and son Jeffrey.  She is survived by sons Michael(Bonnie) and Tim(Sue); 9 grandchildren and her great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Loretto, 11th and 3rd floor at Cunningham for the care Dorothy received. A special thank you to NP Julie Lu.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 18th, at Assumption Church. Friends may greet the family beginning at 9:00am followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 10:00. Burial will be in the Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Assumption Church. Online condolences, www.shepardsonfh.com.
