Barbara Barry, 58, from Syracuse, passed peacefully on March 14, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Barb fought a good fight against ALS and met so many wonderful people along her journey.

Barb was a retail pharmacist for 31 years and retired in 2021. Barb loved golfing, tennis, softball, hiking, and all outdoor activities.  Her passion was traveling, especially to National parks.

Barb is survived by her parents Roland and Janice Barry; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Kelley Barry; her sisters Kathy Brock (Eric Tarolli) and Michelle DeStefano (Daniel Reilly). She loved her nieces and nephews so much; Melissa, Samantha, and Amanda Barry; and Jessica, Anthony, and Alison DeStefano.  Her great nephew Weston Irving brought her so much happiness this past year and a half.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St., Syracuse on Sunday, March 24 from 1-3pm.

Barb wanted to be remembered as the happy, adventurous, fun person she was to all of us.
