Herman Riegelman, 81, of Syracuse, died on Tuesday at Van Duyn. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and had retired from General Electric. He enjoyed hunting, being in the Adirondacks and gardening. Mr. Rieglman loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irene; his sons: Michael (Karen) of Ringgold, GA, Robert of Syracuse; daughters: Joann (Robert) Jarvis of Syracuse, Deborah Shane of Liverpool; a brother James of Central Square; grandchildren: Janine & Madeline Jarvis, Mark & David Shane, Katie, Elizabeth & Alexandra Riegelman; and 2 great-grandchildren: Xylah and Sahara Shane.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Friday at the Welter-Price Funeral home with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 9:30-11:30 before the service at the funeral home, 3111 James Street.
