William Paul Banuski Obituary

William Paul “Bill” Banuski, 81, of Bridgeport, died on December 18, 2023 at his home. He had retired after 30 years as a general supervisor from General Motors. Bill served in the US Navy from 1959-63. He was an avid walleye fisherman and hunter. He has lived on Oneida lake for most of his life and was a member of the Oneida Lake Association. He participated in the Cicero Lions Club Fishing Derby every year. Bill also enjoyed golfing in the GM League, traveling, playing cards in Pitch Leagues, and was a fan of SU Basketball and the Yankees.

Pre-deceased by parents Wilbur & Norma; sister Helen Giromini.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Theresa; son Christopher (Stacy Martin) of Syracuse; daughter Jennifer (Tim) Schulz of Chittenango; sister Judy (Gary) Baker; brother Robert (Lisa); grandchildren: Sgt. Steven (Julianna) Banuski, Emma Banuski, Peter & Sam Schulz, Noah & Trevor Martin; great-grandchild Mia Luna; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 30 from 10am to 1pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home.

Bill’s family wishes to thank all the doctors and care givers at Hematology & Oncology Associates of CNY.
