Bertha (Bert) E. Slahor, 89 of Parkville, MD passed away April 7, 2013 at the Oak Crest Village retirement community after an extended illness. A native of Syracuse, NY, she is survived by two brothers, William Luttinger of Scottsdale, AZ and Henry Luttinger of Syracuse, NY and her son Gary Slahor, of Ellicott City, MD. Bert was born in Syracuse from father Henry Luttinger Sr, and mother Elizabeth Luttinger and lived most of her adult life in Baldwinsville with husband Martin and two children Gary and Peggy. She and Martin moved to Parkville, Md in 1985 to be closer to her children. She enjoyed traveling and family gatherings, but her passion was singing. She was a member of the local chapter of the Sweet Adeline's and traveled with them singing barbershop harmony over the eastern seaboard. Calling hours will be held on Saturday afternoon June 8, 2013 from 1 - 3 pm at the Frasier Shepardson Funeral Home 1217 N Salina St. Syracuse
