Francis A. “Butch” Kessler, 80, of Syracuse, died on November 20, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He had retired in 1999 after 32 years from Carrier. Butch had attended Eastwood High School. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the South Shore Association of Oneida Lake.
He was pre-deceased by his parents: Frank and Agnes Kessler and sister Joan Aksterowicz.
Butch is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Ellen (Abenanty) Kessler; sister Peggy Zbkowski; brother Joseph Kessler; 3 children from a very early marriage; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, November 24 from 12-1pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home with committal services to follow at 1:15 in Woodlawn Cemetery.
