Daniel (Danny) G. Grace, 59, passed away on October 9, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He is survived by his loving fiancee, Patricia Baker; his siblings: Joseph Grace and Diane Culpepper; nieces and nephews: Anna Culpepper, Matthew Culpepper, Rio Grace & Pearl Grace and many wonderful friends that he loved dearly.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents: Dr. William & Joan (Lynch) Grace and brother William Grace.
Daniel graduated from Mt. Markham High School and Elmira College. After he moved from his home town of West Winfield to Syracuse, his career included memorable positions at Kitty Hoynes, Wild Wills Saloon and the Lemon Grace.
Danny Lit up every room he entered. He was a peacemaker, a storyteller, an entertainer, and a fierce defender of his beloved Cowboys. His kindness and generosity are unmatched. Even while undergoing cancer treatment, he thought of others. He will be sorely missed.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30am in the Blessed Sacrament Church, with burial to follow in North Syracuse Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Daniel’s name may be made to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
