Mary Ann Hannay, 94, passed away on 9/24/2023. Her maiden name was Presbyla and she was called “Murphy” by her family and childhood friends. She lived her entire life in Syracuse; Eastwood to be exact. She truly loved it. She also loved SU sports and animals. Although her last years were challenging, most of her life was spent living for her family which included five children, Christy, Larry, Mark, Donna and Paula, and her husband, Charles Hannay, which is all she wanted.

She is survived by four children, grandchildren and a sister. She married our dad (they were childhood friends) her one and only true love. Our parents not only loved each other, but genuinely liked each other. Our house was filled with love, laughter and security. We thank you mom, mommy, ma and mommy dearest, for being our mother. Give our love to daddy and Christy.

She will be laid to rest at the VA Cemetery with our father in a private ceremony.
