William "Bill" Weigel, 92, of East Syracuse, passed away July 17, 2023, peacefully at the Francis House. Born March 18, 1931, the son of Lloyd and Katherine (Moran) Weigel. He went into the Navy after High School and served in the Korean War. He worked for the Railroad and Bristol, retired in 1990. He was a devoted husband and loved his family, especially the grandchildren.  He loved dancing, live music and meeting up with his dance group on Sundays.  He was pre-deceased by his wife Joyce and parents. 

Survived by sons: William, Thomas, Daniel (Catherine); daughter Linda (Jeff) Beebe; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are Wednesday, July 26, 4-7pm at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St.  Interment is Thursday, July 27 at 11am in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave. Syr. N.Y. 13208.
