Ritamarie Capogreco Smith, 68, passed on to be with the Lord on July 12th 2023, three days before her 69th birthday. Rita was known for her great strength to overcome many trials and tribulations. She was a great artist and made many beautiful paintings and drawings throughout her lifetime. She was also known as an expert tie-dyer, many of her tie-dyed fashions were works of art. She also enjoyed cooking, especially for her family.
Rita was predeceased by her parents Bruno & Rita, and brother Nicholas Capogreco.
Rita is survived by her husband Robert Smith; her two sons: Paul, and Carey Smith; and her three sisters: Sarah Beechinor, Mary Burns, and Elizabeth Wadleigh; and many nieces and nephews. She greatly loved her beloved dogs Licorice and Bella. Rita was greatly loved by her family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home at 3111 James Street from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday, July19th. Anyone who wishes to attend the burial, please meet at the funeral home at 9:30am on July 20th.
