Mary Murphy Extale, 90, a native and life resident of the Syracuse area, died February 22, 2023 at Upstate Hospital.

Mrs. Extale graduated from The Convent School, and Central City Business Institute. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Eastwood, where she was a member of their 

Altar and Rosary Society. Also, Mrs. Extale was a former volunteer with the Eastwood Youth Project after-school program at Blessed Sacrament School.

She was Corporate Secretary and Bookkeeper for Central New York Building Products Inc., Peachtree Planning Center Div., and Orchard Home Products Div. She was the 1981-83 Chairman of the National Assoc. of Credit Management, and a member of Lake Shore Yacht and Country Club. Mrs. Extale was formerly Secretary to Thomas S. Duffy for 10 years, and prior to that with the Syracuse Agency of Mutual of New York Insurance Co. for 17 years.

She is pre-deceased by her husband John Curtis Extale; and sister Kathryn Nolan.

She is survived by her sister Eileen (Darold) Cole of Jacksonville, FL.; brother, Thomas J. (Sharon) Murphy of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 9-10am on Saturday, February 25 at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home Inc., 3111 James St.   The funeral mass will follow at 10:30 in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Minoa.
