Obituary of Rita A. Bross

Rita A. Bross, 80, of Syracuse, died unexpectedly at Crouse Hospital on Thursday, December 15, surrounded by her family. Rita was born November 20, 1942 in Syracuse, the daughter of Gilbert and Virginia Cassidy Egloff. She was a graduate of Eastwood High School.  She married Charles F. Bross of Weedsport, NY in August 1964 & settled in Syracuse, NY. Rita worked at Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield and Carrier Corporation for many years. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and close friends. Predeceased by her husband Charles F. Bross, parents Gilbert & Virginia Egloff.
Survived by: brother Jack Egloff (Donna) of CT; sister Terry Fiorito (Dan) of FL; son Daniel Bross of Chittenango; daughter Wendy Cassano (Robert Hertel) of Canastota; son William Bross of Syracuse; son Jeffrey Bross (Rebecca) of Camillus; grandchildren: Ashley Betts (Matthew), Danielle Bross, Stephen Bross, Jacob Bross, Benjamin Bross; great grandchildren: Amelia Betts, Lila Betts, and Charlie Bross; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home Inc. 3111 James St., Syracuse on Wednesday from 4 to 6:00pm. Funeral services will follow at 6:00.
