Obituary of Robert William Molesky
R. William (Bill) Molesky, 67, of Baldwinsville, New York, passed away suddenly on December 10 2022. He is survived by his sister Lynnette Molesky Scofield of Lansing New York, his beloved rescue dogs Bob and Arrow, and a huge circle of very close friends. He was predeceased by his parents Robert (Bob) and Shirley Molesky.
A graduate of Henninger High School and Fordham University, Bill pursued his acting career in New York City; playhouses in Palm Springs California; Virginia and Syracuse. For many years he played a memorable Scrooge beginning at Syracuse Stage and then at Salt City Center for the Performing Arts. His acting garnered him seven Syracuse Area Live Theater (SALT) awards. His second passion was his work as a freelance proofreader and proofed the work of such renowned authors as David McCullough (John Adams), Mary Higgins Clark and John Grisham. Bill will also be fondly remembered by his friends and family for his prodigious memory, which made him a truly formidable opponent in Trivial Pursuits.
Should you choose to make a donation in his memory, BIll was an enthusiastic supporter of libraries, animal rescue organizations and of course, local theater companies (Simply New Theater, The Covey Theater Company, and Syracuse Summer Theatre at The Oncenter).
A special gathering will be held in the spring to celebrate Bill’s amazing life.
