Annette Marie Ponto, 80, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 at the Francis House. Annette was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Born in Syracuse, on January 6th, 1942, she was the daughter of Romeo and Cecile Dumas. She was a graduate of St. Brigid Catholic School in Syracuse. Annette enjoyed playing bingo, her occasional jaunts to the casino, reading, visiting with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren, Italian crooners, but most of all her fascination with genealogy. I cannot begin to count the thousands of hours of research she had done for herself and many others.
She was predeceased by her brother Gerald Dumas; and son Matthew Kuss.
Surviving are her sons: Jacob J. Kuss IV and, David J. Kuss; niece Jacquelynn Dumas; nephew Gerald Dumas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
