Obituary of Gail K. Roach

Gail Katherine Roach (Gannon) passed away peacefully on August 15, 2022.
Gail was born in Syracuse on January 10, 1939, the oldest of five children born to Daniel Gannon and Frances (Baird) Gannon. She is survived by her loving husband Michael, her siblings Vicki (Roger) Baker and Edward (Christina) Gannon, her four children; Kathleen (Michael) Finn, Michael (Kimberly), Colleen, and Danielle (Kevin) Neuser, and her grandchildren Maxwell and Elana Finn, Chloe Roach, Noj Kunnath, and Jackson Neuser, all of whom she loved beyond measure. She is predeceased by her parents Daniel and Frances, her brother Daniel (Sonny) Gannon and sister Ellen (Charles) Savory.
As a life-long communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church, and student of St. Vincent de Paul Parish School (K-12), Gail served her faith community in a variety of roles, including high-school cheerleader, CYO Advisor, Religious Education Instructor, Altar Rosary Society Member, Eucharistic Minister, and Folk-Group Member. Many will remember Gail’s love for music, and her joyous response to the Celebrant’s request to “raise our voices in song” during Sunday Mass. Gail also administered the Religious Education program at the Henninger Faith Center and taught Religion at Bishop Grimes and CBA. Gail’s dedication allowed her to positively impact the lives of many youth within the community.
In 1998, Gail and Mike relocated to the community of Tully Lake Park in Tully, NY.  Gail established many new and lasting friendships within the TLP community. We are truly grateful to the many friends and neighbors that enriched her life during this time. Thank you to Kim and the team at Loretto for providing exceptional care during her stay.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 10am in St. Vincent dePaul church with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home.
