Obituary of Megan Elizabeth McGregor

Please share a memory of Megan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Megan Elizabeth McGregor was born to Robert Emerson McGregor and Kimberly Suzanne McGregor (Higgins) on August 1, 1996. She graduated from C.W. Baker High School in 2014. She passed away on August 5, 2022.
Megan was blessed with a large and loving family. She was a natural athlete who played basketball, soccer and had a talent for running track. She was extremely creative in both fashion poetry and other art forms.
She worked as a sous chef/server/bartender throughout the Syracuse area for many years. Megan was a very talented and a free-spirited woman. Music, dancing, and hula hooping were an interictal part of her life. She loved animals and had three of her own dogs (Cici, Baylee and Luka).
Megan was truly a beautiful and magical person. She had this otherworldly elegance and grace to her, but at the same time, so humble, rooted in equality and love. She was passionate about equality, justice, freedom, and helping others. She was truly a giver. Cared with every piece of her heart. She made friends everywhere she went. You could find her calling out compliments to strangers just to make them smile. She found joy in others happiness. Her love for people shined through her for everyone to see.
Megan is survived by both parents, her Grandmother Suzanne G. Higgins (Amlott), a sister Stacy Preston (Ben), brother James A. Woodward and Aunt Donna M. Higgins. Megan has several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins of both sides of the family. Megan was also blessed to have a large family of friends in the Syracuse area.
