Obituary of Gerald R. Burnette

Gerald R. “Jerry” Burnette, 80, died on July 20, 2022 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  He was a native of Syracuse and lived in Boston from 1967-89.  He was one of eight children of George and Geraldine Burnette, who are deceased.  He had worked as a constable for the City of Quincy Police Department and was a licensed private detective in Massachusetts.  Jerry retired in 1989 to Florida and established his own private investigation agency.
He was pre-deceased by his siblings: Donny, Billy, David, Jimmy, Ricky and sister Charm. Survived by sister Lyda and many nephews & nieces.  Jerry will be missed by his many friends at Ocean Sunrise, including: John, Jimmy, Isaac, Warren, Janisa, Meri, Tom and Norman.
A Committal Service will be held on Monday, August 1 at 12pm in St. Mary’s Mausoleum in Dewitt, NY.
