Obituary of Arthur McDermott

Arthur “Kevin” McDermott, 75, of Syracuse passed away on May 19, 2022.  Arthur was known as Kevin to his friends,  and was born on City Island New York to Arthur J. McDermott and Dolores McDermott (nee Frey).  Arthur was a Master Electrician with the IBEW and was a Building and Electrical Inspector for the City of Syracuse until his retirement.  Arthur is survived by his son, Kevin McDermott, and daughter, Meaghan McDermott and grandchildren, Eleanor and Raymond McDermott and Madison and Gavin Cooperman, his sisters Kathleen Aseltine (Wayne) and Mary Kay Cawthorne (Ken), as well as nieces and a nephew.  Calling hours will be held on July 14, 2022 at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St, Syracuse from 4PM to 7PM.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Catholic Charities of Onondaga County.
