Barbara C. (DiBella) Esser, 66, of Syracuse, died on Thursday at James Square. She was a registered nurse and had retired from the admissions department at James Square and was formerly employed by Upstate Medical Center and Harrison Outpatient Center. She enjoyed arts, crafts and gardening. Barbara was a communicant, lector and religious education instructor at Blessed Sacrament Church. She was pre-deceased by her husband Samuel J. DiBella.
She is survived by her son Michael of Syracuse; brother Henry (Patty) Esser of Whitesboro, NY; an aunt Lucille Talarico; a nephew Nathan Esser; and her lifelong friends Debbie, Betty, Lorraine, and Grace.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday at 10:30am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 3127 James Street, Syracuse 13206. Friends can greet the family following the mass. shepardsonfh.com
