Obituary of Julianna Moder-Fuzesi

It is with great sadness that the family of Julianna Moder-Fuzesi announces her passing, on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022. Julianna was given a 6 month life expectancy upon her brain cancer diagnosis but she lived for an astonishing 6 years. Julianna had a strong spirit, positive outlook and a never surrender attitude despite the challenges and circumstances that came her way.  Her bright smile was the number one thing she was complimented on by all who came in contact with her. Despite her fierce determination to fight, and positive attitude towards her diagnosis, she passed away peacefully at the age of 64 years at the Siegenthaler Center for Hospice and Palliative Care where she resided for the last weeks of her life.
Julianna was born in Sacramento, California on December 16th, 1957 to parents Julianna Rabi and Geza Moder. Though Julianna was born in the sunshine state, she was raised in the Bronx, New York City area where she completed all of her schooling. 
Julianna dedicated most of her life to raising her daughters and also held many positions in a caregiver role for children, the elderly, as well as people with cerebral palsy. Julianna also worked part-time at Sears to take advantage of the employee discount because she loved shoes! She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Julianna (Shaun) and Szilvia, whom she was incredibly proud of. Julianna will also be fondly remembered by her sister Maria Townley. 
Visiting hours will occur on Sunday, May 15th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home located at 3111 James Street Syracuse, NY 13206. Entombment will take place at a later date by the family.
