David John (Nemier)Sumner, 52 of Lafayette, NY died peacefully in his sleep due to complications due to COVID on April 1, 2022 at Upstate University Hospital Downtown Syracuse.  David was a outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and any outdoor sport he could try. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, which clashed with his Wife, Jackie’s love for the Eagles. He had a big heart and would help anybody who asked. He will be missed so much, and our hearts will truly be empty without him.
He is predeceased by His stepfather, Norman Gene Sumner, his Grandfather, Richard, who loved him like his own son, and his grandmother, Marie.
He is survived by his mother Susan Barry, His Wife Jackie (Reese), His stepdaughter Nadiyah Person, his Sister Kimberly, His nephews; Bryce Sumner, Richard Heisler, and his Niece, Brianna (Codey)Generous, along with 2 great nephews, a grand niece and many friends and People who called him family.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 6-8 pm, and the funeral will be Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 11am at Welter-Price Funeral home 3111 James St. Syracuse , N.Y., 13206 with a procession to Greenlawn Cemetery. Online condolences to www.welterprice.com.
