Joyce M. Weigel, 74 of East Syracuse passed away Saturday at Iroqouis Nursing Home. She was born on May 30, 1938 the daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia Larath Gersbacher. Joyce attended Eastwood High School and volunteered with EAVES and Meals on Wheels. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Survived by her husband of 57 years William Weigel; sons: William J, Thomas M., and Daniel S. (Catherine) of NC; daughter Linda M. (Jeff) Beebe; brother; Donald Gersbacher; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 17, from 3-6pm at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 18 at 1pm in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Contributions may be made to EAVES, PO Box 34,East Syracuse, NY 13057.
