Obituary of Mary Anne Garrett

Mary Anne Garrett passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the age of 76 at Loretto Health and Rehabilitation Center in Syracuse, New York following a long battle with serious medical issues that proved too difficult to overcome.
Mary was born on January 29, 1946 in Syracuse, New York to Cecelia F. Garrett (1907-1997) and Edmund J. Garrett (1905-1975).  She was predeceased by a brother, William E. Garrett (1941-1979).
Mary is survived by a brother, Edmund Garrett of Washington, DC, a sister, Kathleen Bodtorf (husband, Karl) of Wellford, SC, as well as two nieces, six nephews, a sister-in-law and several great nieces and nephews.
Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery in Syracuse. 
Mary was a lifelong resident of Syracuse with strong religious ties to Blessed Sacrament Church.  She was a graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School and was an employee of the Central New York Telephone Company.
Mary was an avid reader who enjoyed daily walks and spending time volunteering at local hospitals.  Never interested in accumulating material wealth she chose to donate to several religious charities over the years.
