Obituary of Barbara Mae Steinberg

Barbara Mae Steinberg, 79, of Syracuse, died on January 5, 2022 at Crouse Hospital.  She was a graduate of Eastwood High School and Syracuse University.  She had retired from Verizon and was formerly employed by GE and various Law Firms.   She was a communicant of Transfiguration Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.  She was also a member of the CWA and the Telephone Pioneers.
She was pre-deceased by her parents: Leonard and Bertha Siwik Steinberg and brother Myron.
She is survived by her sister Rosemary (John) Bleskoski; brother Joseph Steinberg; nieces Dawn Usherwood, Michelle Bleskoski, Jennifer Cervantes; nephews: Joseph Steinberg Jr., Thomas Steinberg; and several great nieces & nephews.  Barbara’s family would like to thank the nurses and therapists from St Joseph’s Home Care and Colleen, Sharon, Shannon, Rebekah, Jenny and Margaret.
Aunt Barb we are tucking you in for the last time all the way up to your chinny chin chin.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home.  A funeral services will be held Monday at 10am at the Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Cemetery of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Utica.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Home Care.
