Obituary of Marilyn J. Stedman

Marilyn J. Stedman, 95, of Syracuse, died on December 24, 2021.  She was born in Syracuse to Chester Stedman and Clare Flower Stedman. She graduated from Eastwood High in 1944 and from Syracuse University in 1948 with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.
She was an interior design professional for 8 years with the Hyken Company in Rochester, NY.  She then joined Sage Marketing Communications of Syracuse in 1957 as a technical artist.  She retired from Sage in 1990 after serving in many capacities.
Marilyn was a dedicated member of Eastwood Baptist Church; having served as financial secretary, as a member of the Board of Deacons and honored as Deacon Emeritus.  She was a member of the Civic Social Club of Greater Syracuse, the Lincoln Cultural Society and as an SU alumnus. 
Marilyn is survived by several cousins and her adopted family of Sharee and Joe Pierce.
A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, January 8 at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary of Eastwood Baptist Church, 3212 James St, Syracuse, NY 13206.
