Nancy Ann Banazek, 78 of Conroe TX, passed away suddenly on June 17th 2021. She was born on April 12, 1943 in Johnson City, NY. She is preceded in death by her parents, Helen Louise Shaver and John Henry Shaver. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Arthur Banazek, her daughter Kristen Brennan, son in law Bobby Brennan, her son Mark Banazek, daughter in law Christy Banazek, granddaughters Dr. Whitney Vrazel, Addison Banazek, Tara Adams, and Grace Banazek, great grandchildren Vincent Vrazel and AnneMarie Adams, sisters Carol Fox and Gail Cole along with a large extended family. Nancy was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her and never missed a chance to give compliments. Her genuine interest in others and her selfless giving nature was a blessing to all who knew her. Nancy graduated from SUNY Oswego where she studied Education. She began a 28-year career teaching second grade in North Syracuse Central School District, and continued in Conroe TX at BB Rice Elementary and Austin Elementary, where she taught many first graders the love of reading. Nancy enjoyed her garden, quilting, her many friends, and her family most of all. She will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in her faith. A funeral mass will be held at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Syracuse, NY on Tuesday June 22 at 11:00 am and laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery Dewitt, NY immediately following.
