Lynn and family,
Going back to grade school, high school and living in the neighborhood, the Delaney's were involved.
We enjoyed your Dad's presence and admired him. Lynn you are a great daughter and lucky to have him for so long in your life.
Peace to your family and keep those memories close to your heart.

Dearest Patty, Lynn and Bill:
Our prayers are with you all. Your Dad's tribute was remarkable and exuded the joy in his life well-lived. When he moved your family to Rugby and Wendell, you all moved into our family. I recall that Dr. Delaney loved the very tall trees in your backyard, as do we still. He took meticulous care of his park-like home indeed! We will miss your Dad, and always will remember how kind he was to us. Love, Suzanne McVay-Novelli in Buffalo

Lynn, Patty, and William
We were honored to have been your father's neighbors for the past 15 years. Your father was far more than just a neighbor to us, he was a very dear friend. Your father was the first person to welcome us with open arms to the neighborhood. We would spend hours side by side with him while he trimmed his shrubbery and raked his leaves. Our conversations would range from the daily neighborhood news; his time living and working in the South Side; his absolute pride for his country while serving in the United States Army during World War II; to warm, loving memories of your mother Carolyn, and each one of his children and grand children. We will miss seeing your father working in his yard. We will miss his surprise drop offs to us of his favorite Brooklyn Pickle sandwiches. But most of all we will miss the most warm and generous neighbor we could ever have wished for. Our deepest sympathies for the entire Delaney family.

A wonderful man has left us to join his parents, siblings, wife and God. There will be a void in the lives of those who knew him and the community he served in. The void and loss will be felt the most by his daughters, son and family. May his family find strength in the love and memories of their dad and grandfather.
Condolences and prayers.
